The Great Escape Festival Brighton 2011

Went to The Great Escape last weekend for a get nice little get away and had ourselves plenty of fun with sunshine, booze and a massive array of music to check out.

One highlight for me was finally getting to see Factory Floor who I really enjoyed. The 3 piece is made up of live drums, synth/electronic bassline arpeggios and guitar/voice/pedals/fx - they deliver ice-cold, stripped down, metronomic grooves and drones which are both dancey and slightly unsettling at the same time.

I'm not sure how well this translates to record but definitely a band to see live in a dark, dingy, industrial basement at stupid o'clock. Check out their upcoming gigs and get out there if you wanna get your sleaze on.
